Jack Hudson was born in Dublin, Ireland. He is an actor and has studied the craft at The Gaiety school of Acting. After watching 'Sunset Boulevard' which remains among his favorite films of all time, Jack has drawn much inspiration from 'The Golden age of Hollywood' for his acting career and studied in great detail the works of legendary director's, Ingmar Bergman, Billy wilder, Federico Fellini, Andrei Tarkovsky, Akira Kurosawa and Martin Scorsese. As well as favorite actors Paul Newman, Humphrey Bogart, Elizabeth Taylor, James Cagney, William Holden, Kirk Douglas, Peter O'Toole, Richard Burton and Steve McQueen's work. With more recent actors of the 2000's, being Christian Bale and Heath ledger, as Jack believes by learning from the greats you can only then expand on what has been achieved and reach your full potential as a distinct, unique actor. Viewing all best picture winners from their inception in 1927 has given Jack a deep appreciation for the art of film.

 

Since pursuing acting, Jack has accumulated much interest in the film industry working on leading roles in various projects. Jack's first role was in Absence (2017), which he wrote, directed and starred in. Shortly after this Jack starred in leading and supporting roles in the short films, Temper Temper (2017), The Desk (2017) - an artistic silent film inspired by the works of David lynch where Jack played the lead of a mentally conflicted artist confronting his inner demons, Realtin (2017), the award winning Ellie (2017), Sink (2017), feature film DubDaze that premiered at DIFF (2018), starred as the leading role of Gary in Cold Feet (2018) and has also starred in multiple music videos for popular Irish artists.

 

Alongside acting, Jack was a finalist in the Mr Ireland 2018/19 final in the Helix, Dublin that also held the Miss Ireland event on the same night, apart from this, Jack has featured in many modelling projects.

 

In 2020, Jack played the role of "Ben" in the TV movie 'TX', directed by Claire T. Cassidy, and written by Andy Cowen (Seinfeld).

 

Jack played the supporting lead of "Pavel" in crime/thriller 'Crosshair', produced by Red Sky Films, which had its screening at the LIFF festival with a nomination for best feature. Following this Jack will play "Kwér tribe father" in 'Brigantia', an historical feature starring Robert Powell and James Phelps. And will act as the lead in Alexandria Ali's mystery feature, 'Accomplice', directed by Metin Güngör (I, Robot/The Da Vinci Code/Hugo) and produced by George Marshall Ruge (Lord Of The Rings trilogy/Pirates of the Caribbean) starring Timothy V Murphy. Alongside this, Jack has been cast in the war epic feature '1066' as Gyrth Godwinson that will star Susan George, Kate Mabely, Ian Whyte and Lee Arenberg.

In 2024 Jack won the Audience vote in Mr. Ireland, where he raised further awareness for the homelessness crisis in Ireland. He then modelled for Louis Copeland and Sons that was featured on IMAGE.ie.
 

Jacks recent voice work includes the massively successful Cyberpunk The Phantom liberty, Dead Island 2 and Dune Awakening.

As reported on Deadline and IFTN, in 2026 Jack will play the lead Villain Blondie in Matthew Dickens upcoming film adaption of the Comic book Franchise The Devil's Train, directed by stunt legend and Fast and Furious action director Jack Gill who campaigned for over 35 years for the stunts category at the Oscars. Hudson also produces alongside John Radulovic (X-Men) Hal Burg and James Vernon (Hacksaw Ridge). Soundtrack made by 3 time Grammy winner Andrew Coleman. Peter Wolf (Top Gun) to compose. Andy Gill (Sinners) leads stunts.

As reported on Deadline, Jack has been cast as the lead in the Irish Viking Series - The Ráth and the Rock, where he will play the charismatic and audacious Gaelic chieftain and rebel Owney O’More in a sweeping story of the brutal Tudor Conquest of Ireland, spanning 1520 to 1653. Directed by award winning Black Widow and Blade DP Gabriel Beristain.

Jack recently shot Burning for Minoan Pictures and will feature in Heinekens next 2026 Campaign.​
